Welcome, Researchers!
This section will connect you to resources that might make your work easier, more rigorous, and hopefully more enjoyable. Take a look below.

Every month, SAHRC will host an online, facilitated community of practice call for folks who are looking to share ideas, best practices, questions, and knowledge around South Asian health research. This is a place where you can come to work through an issue you are having with your research, to learn more about what other researchers are doing, to share resources with other researchers, and to generate academic conversation about research with racialized populations and the findings that are pertinent to them.
Dates, times, and log on information can be found in the Events section of the website (coming soon). We hope to see you there!

Health research databases (Ovid Medline, PubMed, Google Scholar, etc.) are excellent places to begin when looking to find out more about health research studies. Given the large number of health research studies among South Asians done in Canada, we are in the process of creating a public Mendeley Collection of citations.
In addition to these citations, we have gathered a list of other relevant research and knowledge translation works, available online in the grey literature. They are posted below.
If you are interested in supporting this literature review work, and creating a citation directory for interested researchers, please contact us.
-
SAHRC is working with REACH BC to develop a streamlined method of recruiting South Asian participants into health studies. Stay tuned for more updates on our Partners page.
-
SAHRC will be launching a mentor/mentee program in early 2024. If you would like to participate as either a mentor in South Asian health research, or a mentee, please email sahrcbc@gmail.com to express your interest.
